Born in Blackburn, Lancashire, Simon grew up in Thame, Oxfordshire, alongside his brother David and sister Emma. Together, they run Oak Taverns Ltd — a family‑founded business established in 1991 that now operates 18 wet‑led pubs across the Chilterns and Cotswolds. Their focus is on exceptional cask ales, craft beers, and small‑batch spirits, and over the last seven years they've also partnered with some of the region’s best street‑food operators to enhance our pub experiences.
They have just been awarded with the Best Community Pub Operator for 2026 at the Publican awards
He live in Oxfordshire and remains a long‑suffering Blackburn Rovers supporter.
