Silvana Kill
Silvana Kill brings nearly 30 years of frontline experience in the UK’s night time economy, driven by a deep commitment to raising safety and inclusion standards across the sector. As Chief Operating Officer at the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) and the UK Door Security Association, she leads on safeguarding, strategy, licensing, membership, and operational support. She also serves as Chair of Ask For Clive, championing safer social spaces by supporting venues to respond effectively to vulnerability and harassment. A qualified licensing practitioner, health and safety officer, CIPD-accredited HR and EDI specialist, and SIA licence holder, Silvana combines strategic leadership with practical, on-the-ground insight.
Her career spans nightclub operations, events, restaurants, and pub management, giving her first-hand understanding of high-pressure environments and the realities faced by venue teams. Passionate about collaboration over compliance, she developed and launched the Night Safe Spaces Accreditation (NSSA), aligning frontline staff, operators, safeguarding leads, and local authorities around shared standards. She has also created hands-on training programmes, including the Night Safe Champion and Welfare Engagement Officer courses, equipping staff at every level with the confidence, consistency, and compassion to manage complex safeguarding situations and build safer, more inclusive nightlife environments.
