With 12 years of experience in the industry, Kate has progressed from an Admin Apprentice to a Senior Designer at ABDA Design. Beginning their career at Vision Commercial Kitchens, they spent 11 years honing their expertise before joining ABDA Design at the start of last year. As part of the Senior Leadership Team for the CEDA Academy, she plays a key role in mentoring and supporting emerging talent within the industry. ABDA Design stands out for its holistic approach, integrating both catering and interior design to create innovative hospitality spaces. Their portfolio spans a diverse range of sectors, including high-end hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, business and industry (B&I), education, care homes, airports, and garden centres.

Beyond her design work, Kate is actively involved in the wider industry, collaborating with international young talent organisation CFESA on podcast planning, participating in roundtable discussions with Catering Insight, and supporting the UK-based not-for-profit talent organisation FEAST. Her commitment to professional development is backed by a first-class degree in Interior Design from De Montfort University.
