The much-anticipated Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2023 shortlist is here to entertain and inspire. 

Thousands of images poured in from over 65 countries around the world. Once again, the standard of entries displays both incredible technical prowess and also the most powerful storytelling.

This global competition continues to connect us all and offers a unique insight into the universal language of food culture.

The winners will be announced on Tuesday 16 May 2023 at 19:30 (BST) in an Awards Film which will be privately screened at BAFTA, London. The film will also be streamed across the world on the Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year YouTube channel, allowing everyone to enjoy the show from the comfort of their own homes.

This year’s global judging panel, chaired by legendary food photographer, David Loftus, includes: Fiona Shields, Head of Photography, Guardian News & Media, Chef Ian Kittichai, Restaurateur, Author & TV Host, Ella Ravilious, Curator, the V&A Museum, Nik Sharma, Cookbook author, Photographer, Columnist.

An exhibition of all the Finalist images will premiere at The Royal Photographic Society, Bristol, one of the oldest photographic societies in the world. The exhibition runs from Saturday 20th May - Sunday 11th June and forms part of Bristol’s ‘World Photography in Focus’ during which a number of top international photography competitions, including Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Travel Photographer of the Year, will be exhibiting in the city.
