Deliveroo launches in-app restaurant reservations service in London
Deliveroo has launched a new in-app restaurant reservations feature in London, marking the company’s latest move beyond its core takeaway delivery offering.
The new service, Deliveroo Reservations, allows users to browse live restaurant availability and book tables directly through the Deliveroo app. The launch initially covers hundreds of London restaurants, including Dishoom, Dove, Hide, Kricket, Barrafina, Kolae and Murano, with plans to expand the feature across the UK later this year.
The reservations platform is powered by SevenRooms technology following DoorDash’s acquisition of both Deliveroo and SevenRooms in 2025. DoorDash had previously introduced restaurant bookings on its US platform last year.
According to Deliveroo, the feature includes real-time availability, booking management and cancellation updates integrated directly into the app. Customers can also access functions including “What’s Available Tonight”, auto-filled booking details, calendar integration and alerts for last-minute reservation availability.
The launch follows research commissioned by Deliveroo which found that many consumers are frustrated by the process of securing restaurant reservations online. The company said more streamlined booking could encourage more people to dine out.
Suzy McClintock, vice president for consumer and new verticals at Deliveroo, said: “This launch is about supporting restaurants to grow in new ways.
“Whether it’s a Deliveroo order or a reservation in store, we want to drive discovery, demand and revenue across every channel.
“By fully integrating SevenRooms into the Deliveroo app, we’re giving restaurants access to new customers and giving diners an easier way to discover and book some of London’s best tables – all in one place.”
Joel Montaniel, vice president and co-founder of SevenRooms, added: “Restaurants thrive on the relationships they build with their guests.
“Bringing reservations into the Deliveroo app gives London restaurants a new way to connect with diners and grow, while making it easy for consumers to discover and book great restaurants.”
