This year's Arena Savoy Lecture entitled ‘Adapt and Win in Changing Times’ takes place on the evening of Monday 24 April 2023 from 5.00pm to 9.45pm at the luxurious five star Savoy Hotel.

Arena’s Savoy Lecture has been the centrepiece of Arena’s event calendar for over 20 years showcasing both UK and global senior industry leaders as its speakers.  As the industry’s premier networking association, this year’s Savoy Lecture will showcase a panel of industry leaders including Wendy Bartlett MBE, Founder, BM Caterers; Kate Nicholls OBE, CEO, UKHospitality and Paul Nieduszynski, Chief Commercial Officer, Sysco GB.

Inspirational Panel Discussion:  In a thought-provoking panel discussion hosted by hospitality strategist Ann Elliott, our panel of industry leaders will discuss:

• the current effect of inflation on the sector and how will it affect the market going forward
• how does the UK government currently view the sector and what do they need to do in order to support hospitality
• their experiences – what sectors are doing well and why, what sectors are still experiencing several challenges and how can the industry work together moving forward.

Economic Viewpoint:  James Walton, Chief Economist, IGD will set the scene with his Economic Viewpoint. Inflation, rising food prices and increased energy costs have contributed to the cost-of-living crisis in the UK.  In this unique session James will focus on the key challenges businesses face and how to potentially overcome them.
