This week, we’re sitting down with Paul Anderson, Managing Director at Meiko UK Limited to hear about his guilty-pleasure meals, industry picks, and big hopes for the year ahead.

1. Where is your favourite place to dine? And what is your go-to dish there? An impossible question for me to answer as I have many , but I do love a really good curry …extra hot .

2. What do you cook when no one is looking? Problem is , someone is always looking …but I love cooking long and slow BBQ foods in our smoker and outdoor kitchen , bring on the warmer weather !

3. What’s one thing you think every great hospitality venue should have? Friendly and welcoming staff with big smiles , always works for me

4. What trend or innovation in the hospitality industry are you most excited about right now? I guess the use of AI is the future , but lets not lose that ever so important human touch also.

5. Which fellow industry professional would you like to share a drink with at HRC? I can’t pick one , but everyone one is welcome on our stand and I’ll buy them each a drink .

6. Why should people make HRC part of their 2026 plans? If you don’t go you’ll miss out big time , it’s the place to see and learn
