The Foundation FSSC provides oversight, transparency, and industry involvement to ensure our Schemes remain relevant and credible within the consumer goods industry.

Non-Profit

Foundation FSSC is a non-profit organization with an independent governance structure. Giving back is key to FSSC’ s strategy. As part of our giving back strategy, we support UN capacity-building activities.

Providing trust

Our Schemes are governed by an independent Board of Stakeholders. Through the FSSC Integrity Program we monitor compliance of our licensed Certification Bodies, to ensure a robust and trusted certification process.

Risk-based approach

Our Schemes are aligned with the ISO management system approach that allows for flexibility in implementation, based on a risk-based approach.

GFSI and SSCI recognition

Our FSSC 22000 Scheme holds the Consumer Goods Forum’s (CGF) Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognition and is IAF-approved. The FSSC 24000 Scheme for social management systems is recognized by the CGF’s Social Supply Chain Initiative (SSCI), endorsed as an IAF MLA sub-scope, and part of the ITC Standards Map. All recognitions confirm industry acceptance and technical rigor.
