Case Study - KFC Net Zero Plan
This detailed case study showcases how Hospitality Energy Saving & Sustainability (HESS) supported KFC’s transition towards Net Zero across more than 280 UK restaurants. It covers our robust auditing approach, energy and carbon modelling, and equipment-level insights that informed a practical, prioritised roadmap.
The plan identified a potential 26% energy reduction and over 19,000 tCO₂e in carbon savings per year through efficient cooking equipment and refrigeration upgrades. We also explored heat recovery, solar PV, and behaviour change strategies to further boost impact.
