Robert Richardson FIH is an award-winning Hotelier and Hospitality Professional who joined the Institute of Hospitality as CEO in 2021. A former chef whose career took him towards business leadership, Robert’s career has seen him working at senior management levels within major hotel chains including Hilton Worldwide, IHG and Ramada Jarvis. Most recently Robert was General Manager of an independent, luxury boutique hotel and golf resort in the Kentish countryside. In 2022 Boutique Hotelier recognised Robert as an “Industry Titan” in their annual “Power List”: a list of the top 50 Inspirational and Influential Hospitality Professionals operating in the world today. A true people champion who believes that for organisations to succeed and thrive people must feel they belong, and regularly featuring in the national and trade press, radio and industry podcasts, Robert led the Institute to winning the Chartered Governance Institute UK&I “Diversity & Inclusion Strategy of the Year” award in November 2021.
