For the last 15 years, Rachel has worked in manufacturing and retail, buying, marketing and food service and more recently as the business owner of an award-winning bespoke biscuit company. Career highlights include: working with Selfridges and Sodexo (where she negotiated food contracts up to £16.6m), creating a business development strategy for a national brownie bakery, writing training packages and generating additional company income of circa £417k by renegotiation with suppliers. She has also worked with such brands as Costa Coffee and Kraft and wholesalers and distributors such as Brakes and Leathams. Rachel started her retail career in banking and went on to develop Barclays first International Online Banking Service. The chance to combine retail experience, supplier management and her passion for food was an opportunity she couldn't resist when the buying role at Selfridges came up, a brilliant brand with a reputation for food innovation.
