As Chef Patron of Restaurant MS in Folkestone, Mark Sargeant ‘Sarge’ showcases gastronomy that take you back to the mid 1990’s, when the London restaurant scene was brimming with some of today's greatest chefs. Unashamedly staying true to his culinary pedigree, you will find no tweezers or gimmicks in Mark Sargeant’s kitchen. The chef, who was right hand man to his mentor, Gordon Ramsay, for 13 years, has attracted keen young chefs from over the UK, eager to work with Sarge and learn some oft-forgotten skills. An avid supporter of chef competitions, it was, indeed through participating in one himself at a young age, that opened the doors to Sarge's future successes. As such, Mark Sargeant holds many views on why he feels all young chefs should try their hand at competing, and why all bosses should support that. Mark has been involved with Young National Chef of the Year and World Young Chef, Young Waiter.
