Andrew Sheridan
Andrew Sheridan is the award-winning executive chef of the Open Restaurant Group (ORG). His flagship restaurant 8 in Liverpool holds three AA Rosettes and is listed in the Michelin Guide. He oversees the kitchens of all the other restaurants in the group.
He began his culinary career in a pub kitchen in the North Wales town he grew up. To develop his skills, he moved to Chester for a lesser paid but more challenging job at the new Michael Caines’ ABode Hotel restaurant. Initially employed in the brasserie rather than the fine dining restaurant, his work ethic and natural talent got him noticed. When he won North West Chef of The Year in 2011, he was offered the position of executive sous chef in the fine dining operation at the hotel.
Eventually, he decided to leave ABode to return to North Wales, working at Chateau Rhianfa in Anglesey, followed by a stint at Bodnant Food Centre’s River Room at head chef. After 18 months he moved to South Wales where he started to develop his own style of cooking at Sosban in Llanelli. Before joining Sam and Emma Morgan as a partner at ORG, Andrew was head chef of Stargazy Inn in Port Isaac, Cornwall.
A TV regular, Andrew has appeared on BBC’s Great British Menu and Come Dine With Me: The Professionals. He is recognised for his creative flair, playful, inventive style and passion for quality ingredients.
