Alicia leads as the CEO and co-founder of MadeSweetly, a company at the forefront of precision fermentation technology. At MadeSweetly, they are pioneering the production of sugar alternatives, utilizing the remarkable capabilities of microbes to enable sustainable and scalable manufacturing processes.

Holding a PhD in Synthetic Biology from Imperial College London, Alicia specialises in the use of non-model organisms in food applications. A fervent advocate for the power of microbes, she envisions them playing a pivotal role in future innovations.
