Heat recovery is the most critical carbon reduction tool for dishwashing.
Manufacturers have worked hard to improve heat recovery, and Meiko’s latest bar dish and glasswasher, the M-iClean UM, features Meiko's largest-ever heat recovery system on an undercounter machine.
The new M-iClean UM now achieves under 5kW total connected load (@400V) compared to nearly 7kW total connected load for the previous model. There is also 80% less steam when the operator opens the door, and the heat recovery process also helps save 30 seconds per wash cycle, which gives additional labour and energy savings.
