The Burnt Chef Project is a globally recognized not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of hospitality professionals. Established to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health within the industry, we provide vital education, support services, and research to create a healthier and more sustainable working environment.
The hospitality industry is known for its high-pressure environment, long hours, and emotional demands, all of which contribute to increased stress, burnout, and mental health struggles among professionals. At The Burnt Chef Project, we work to change this culture by offering a range of services designed to improve mental well-being and promote open conversations about mental health.
Our initiatives include:
✅ 24/7 Mental Health Support – A confidential service providing immediate assistance to hospitality professionals in need.
✅ Free Structured Therapy – Access to professional therapy for those struggling with mental health challenges, available worldwide.
✅ eLearning & Training Programs – Mental health awareness courses designed to educate individuals and businesses on creating supportive and resilient workplaces. Our free eLearning platform has been accessed over 55,000 times in the last two years.
✅ Global Ambassador Network – A community of trained peer supporters who advocate for mental health awareness and provide guidance within the hospitality sector.
✅ Research & Advocacy – We conduct research to understand the challenges faced by hospitality workers, using data to drive change and influence policies that support mental well-being.
We partner with hospitality businesses, industry leaders, and organizations worldwide to embed mental health education and support into the heart of the industry. Through fundraising initiatives, partnerships, and community-driven efforts, we ensure that hospitality professionals have the tools and resources they need to thrive.
At The Burnt Chef Project, we believe that a healthier workforce leads to a stronger, more sustainable industry. Together, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a hospitality culture where well-being is a priority.
